Sold for $635,000
Indeed a Good Friday for The Royal Children's Hospital with Villawood Properties and Henley Homes raising a whopping $635,000 for their Good Friday Charity Home Auction today.

Fierce bidding saw a flurry of hands raised in order to secure the Charity Auction Home at the Alamanda estate all as part of the Good Friday Appeal 2010.

A long standing fundraising project for the Good Friday Appeal, with the fantastic result bringing the grand total of funds raised over the past 17 years, to $9,574,840.75 - all of which goes to The Royal Children's Hospital.

The house, a part of our brand new Kube luxury collection of homes, included numerous luxury inclusions and attracted some keen bidding on the day. This year saw Henley building and auctioning its 25th Home and Land package for the Good Friday Appeal. The Directors of Henley have now been supporting the Appeal for 17 years, a truly amazing feat and something the company is proud to be
a part of.

Henley and Vicurban Raise $670,000 for the
Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal

The 2009 Henley Good Friday Appeal House and Land charity auction last year has broken record numbers. The successful bidder secured the luxury double storey home in St Albans at $670,000. With more than 10 interested bidders on the day the auction was one of the longest and most exciting seen in the past 16 years. Victorians have again dug deep to support our sick kids, an amazing effort in spite of the current economic conditions.

Over 300 people turned up to the open for inspection prior to the live broadcast of the auction, with a visit from Easter bunny and a BBQ lunch proving the right combination to sit back and enjoy the auction.

Last year’s large donation all of which goes directly to the Good Friday appeal brings the total raised by Henley and Vic Urban to a staggering $7.47 million over 16 years.

Once again this terrific result could not have been achieved without the generous support of our suppliers, trades, Henley employees and the many services who have again donated their time to this worthwhile cause. To the hundreds who have given their time Henley says a big Thank You.

30 homes donated
Since 1993 the company with the support of suppliers and tradespeople has donated 30 luxury homes and land to the hospital. The homes are auctioned on Good Friday during the Easter period with all proceeds going straight to the hospital.

The funds raised over the past 16 years have been dedicated to much needed research and equipment.
